Auto-renew on: a failed renewal ends the plan at once
This rule only applies when auto-renew is on. Daily plans have no grace period and no retry: if a 24-hour renewal payment is declined, the plan ends at once and the instance is deleted. The Mac and its data are erased as soon as Apple's macOS licence allows, 24 hours after the Mac was made available: about an hour later at the first renewal, immediately at later ones. You receive one email confirming the deletion and that it was caused by a declined payment. Keep your card valid, turn auto-renew off, or move to a monthly plan.
With auto-renew off, there is no renewal payment: your Mac simply stops after the 24 hours you paid for.
Read the daily plan rulesHow daily billing works
- 01Charged once when you deploy, for 24 hours, for example with “Deploy and pay $14”. The 24 hours start when you place the order, before your bank confirms this payment with 3D Secure; your Mac is then ready in minutes.
- 02By default, your Mac stops when these 24 hours end: the instance and all its data are deleted, and nothing more is charged.
- 03To keep it longer, turn on “Auto-renew every 24 hours” when you deploy. It is then renewed and charged every 24 hours, with no limit on renewals, until you turn auto-renew off.
- 04Turn auto-renew on or off at any time from your instance page, which shows how many hours are left before your Mac renews or stops: “Renews in 14h, next charge $14” or “Stops and is deleted in 14h”.
- 05Monthly is cheaper from day 7 on most plans. If auto-renew is on, that day we send you a single email with a link to switch.
- 06Switch to monthly or annual at any time with “Switch to monthly or yearly” on your instance page, applied at the end of the current day, on the same Mac; the page shows “Upgrade scheduled” until then. Nothing is charged before.
- 07You can run one daily Mac at a time. Choose monthly or yearly for another Mac.
All prices shown are monthly, excluding taxes. Local taxes may apply. Save 1 month free with annual billing.
Daily rates in USD, excl. tax. The first 24 hours are charged when you deploy; auto-renew stays off unless you turn it on. Add-ons are not available on daily plans.

Pricing FAQ
Is there a minimum rental period?
24 hours. Apple's macOS licence requires every lease of a Mac to last at least 24 consecutive hours, which is why we bill by the day and never by the hour. A daily plan stops after 24 hours unless you turn on auto-renew, monthly plans renew every month, and annual plans give one month free.
Can I upgrade my server later?
Yes. Upgrade from Mac mini to Mac Pro or add storage anytime through your dashboard. Our dedicated Mac servers →
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards via Stripe. Wire transfers available for enterprise accounts.
Do you email invoices?
No, on every plan. All your invoices are in the billing history of your account. Your order confirmation is the “Your Mac Instance Is Ready” email, sent to your login email with your Mac's access details: it shows the amount charged and a link to your invoice.
Do you offer discounts for open-source projects?
Yes, eligible free and open-source projects get 25% off every plan and add-on through our Open Source Program, in exchange for a credit and a backlink. Open Source Program →
Does a daily plan renew automatically?
Not by default. A daily Mac stops after the 24 hours you paid for: the instance and all its data are deleted, and nothing more is charged. When you deploy, you can turn on “Auto-renew every 24 hours” to keep it running; it is then charged every 24 hours, with no limit on renewals. You can turn auto-renew on or off at any time from your instance page, which shows how many hours are left before your Mac renews or stops. Each choice is recorded with its date and time.
What happens if a daily renewal payment fails?
This only concerns daily Macs with auto-renew on. The plan ends at once, with no grace period and no retry, and the instance is deleted. The Mac and its data are erased as soon as Apple's macOS licence allows, 24 hours after the Mac was made available: about an hour later at the first renewal, immediately at later ones. You receive one email confirming the deletion and that it was caused by a declined payment. With auto-renew off, there is no renewal payment: your Mac simply stops after 24 hours. Monthly and annual plans keep a 24-hour or 7-day grace period.
Can I switch from daily to monthly?
Yes, at any time, with “Switch to monthly or yearly” on your instance page, which then shows “Upgrade scheduled”. The change applies at the end of the current day, nothing is charged before, and you keep the same Mac, even if auto-renew is off. Monthly is cheaper from day 7 on most plans, so if auto-renew is on, on that day we send you a single email with a link to switch.
Can I run several daily Macs?
You can run one daily Mac at a time. Choose monthly or yearly for another Mac.
How is my card verified?
Every card you add goes through 3D Secure verification, with a $1 hold released right away. Your first payment is then confirmed by your bank during checkout; your 24 hours start when you place the order, before this confirmation.
Are add-ons available on daily plans?
No. The backup disk and the network upgrade are available on monthly and annual plans only.
